Webster, 76, of St. Louis, Michigan, died March 14, 1998, at her home following a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in St. Louis. Born on May 4, 1921 in Stoystown, to Homer and Rhea Metzgar. She graduated from Stoystown High School in 1939, and received her nurse's training from Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pa., in 1942. She served our country as a captain in the United States Army Nurse Air Corps from 1943-1946, worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at the Carson City Hospital, and retired as Director of Nursing from Schnepp's Health Care Center in St. Louis in 1987. She is survived by her special friend, Harold Krepps of St. Louis; daughter, Michele Webster of Helena, Mont.; daughter, Becky Everitt LaPointe of Alma, Mich.; son, Eric (Karen) Webster of Grand Rapids, Mich.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Sam) Arnott of Taylor, Mich.; sister, Linda Hillman of Beach Haven, N.J.; brother Bob (Ruby) Metzgar of Friedens, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan (Mt. Pleasant, Mich.) or the Patient Equipment Locker (Alma, Mich.). Daily American, March 17, 1998 [W0620]
