  WEIGLE
  
  Guy W. D. Weigle, 86, Siemon Lakeview Manor Estates, formerly of
  Shanksville, died Feb. 19, 1984 at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born
  Dec. 17, 1897, in Stonycreek Township, son of David and Cevilla
  (Knepper) Weigle.  Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Bertha
  Wilt; and these brothers and sisters: Carlyle K., Beatrice, Nellie,
  Amy, Winifred, Lenore Hartig, and Hugh.  Survived by these children:
  Claire, wife of Paul D. Beal, Friedens RD 2; Kay, wife of James E.
  Hamer, Niceville, Fla.; and Jane Crise, Friedens RD 2; also 5
  grandchildren: Amy and Ian Beal, and Pamela, Timothy and Trudy
  Hamer.  Retired coal operator and farmer.  Served as president of
  Shanksville Borough Council for many years.  One of founding partners
  of Shanksville Auto Co.  Served as 1st president of Shanksville
  Volunteer Fire Dept.  Member of Trinity United Church of Christ,
  Berlin.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Revs. Walter B.
  Martin and Carl W. Schwarm officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery.  Family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions in his
  memory may be made to Shanksville Volunteer Fire Dept.
