Elaine Welsh, 78, Friedens died May 24, 2001 at Somerset Hospital. Born Nov. 7, 1922 in Cumberland, Md. Daughter of Clarence and Mabel A. (Hay) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, first husband Edward Lee Clinebell I who died in 1962, and a sister Edna Murphy. Survived by husband James Richard Welsh Sr. to whom he was married 34 years, and children: Edward L. Clinebell II and wife Peggy of Wylie, Texas; James R. Welsh Jr. and wife Peggy of New Wilmington; Rev. Jeffrey A. Welsh and wife Marsha of Scottsdale; C. William Welsh of Studio City, Calif., and Ms. Jayne Weister of Vandergrift. Also 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ft. Pierce, Fla. A 1941 graduate of Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Md. Member of OES in Cumberland, Md. Owned and operated the former Clinebell's Bakery in Cumberland from 1954 to 1989. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Jeffrey Welsh and Rev. Joseph M.
