  WHIPKEY
  
  Nina M. Whipkey, 74, of Confluence RD 3, died Oct. 5, 1987, in
  Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born June 11, 1913, in
  Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a daughter of the late Garfield B. and Mary
  (Shelley) Whipkey.  Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Whipkey of
  Confluence, and Grace Detwiler of Connellsville; five nieces and a
  nephew.  Preceded in death by brother, Arthur; and sisters, Olive and
  Ethel.  A member of the Wesley Chapel, United Methodist Church. 
  Friends will be received 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral
  home, Confluence, where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.,
  Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating.  Interment, Kingwood I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery.
