Wilt, 68, formerly of Grantsville, Md., died August 12, 1977, at his home in Hays, N.C. A native of Jennings, he was a son of Mrs. Fannie (Burkholder) Wilt, Confluence, and the late Nelson Wilt. Also surviving are three sons, Robert O., Grantsville RD 2; Delmas, Boynton; and David Wilt, Hagerstown, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Elvie J. Rugg, Ohiopyle, and Mrs. Leona Cosgrove, Hagerstown, Md.; two brothers, Delbert, Grantsville, Md., and Ned Wilt, Springs; seven sisters, Mrs. Lettie Fazenbaker, Bittinger, Md.; Mrs. Vade Sheets, Hyndman; Mrs. Annie Whiteman and Mrs. Edna Miller, both of Confluence; Mrs. Ineta Clinton, East Alton, Ill.; Mrs. Elsie Compton, College Park, Md., and Mrs. Martha Somerville, Salisbury; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at Marnatha Assembly of God Church by Rev. John Briner. Interment, Bittinger Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge with the Newman Funeral Home.
