  WOLFORD
  
    Alton W. Wolford, 70, Hollsopple RD 2 and former of Blairsville,
  DOA Nov. 27, 1993, at Conemaugh hospital.  Born Sept. 30, 1923 in
  Hillside, Indiana County.  Son of Harvey and Ida (Nolf) Wolford. 
  Preceded in death by parents; first wife, the former Patricia Howard;
  sisters: Hazel Waite, Alice Smith, Gertrude Miller and Stella Long,
  and brothers: Glenn, George and Harry.  Survived by wife, the former
  Ellen Horner and sister, Thelma Solley of Odessa, Texas.  Also
  numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.  Member of Centennial United
  Methodist Church, North Ford Dam Road, Johnstown RD 4.  Army veteran
  of World War II.  Retired in 1979 from Torrance State Hospital. 
  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell.  Viewing also
  from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Centennial
  Church, Rev. William D. Schmeling officiating.  Interment, Thomas
  Mennonite Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the Centennial Church
  Ramp Fund.
