Yost, Sr., 63, 641 Kircher Place, Boswell, died Jan. 12, 1976 at home. Born Aug. 15, 1812, in Jenner Township Somerset County, a son of Charles and Florence (Yost) Yost. Preceded in death by parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Survived by widow, the former Pauline Spiker; one son, Chief Petty Officer Arthur B. Yost, Jr., with the U.S. Navy in Greece; also, one daughter Beverly J., wife of Charles Swift, Baltimore, Md.; and three grandchildren. A brother of Mrs. Della Mae Harmon, Los Angeles. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 8861, Hollsopple. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Richard M. Smith officiating. Interment, Horner-Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
