CORA ELLEN YOUNKIN

  Miss Cora Ellen Younkin, 69, died early Saturday morning, May 14, at the home 
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Livengood, Grantsville, where she had been living since 
last fall.  She had been ill for the past month.
  She was born in Grantsville, January 10, 1878, the daughter of the late Cyrus 
and Julia Ann Firrell, and resided here most of her life, excepting the eight 
years she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Mae Messersmith of Lester, Pa.  
She was a member of the Grantsville Lutheran Church.
  Surviving are two brothers, Milton and Thomas Younkin, Grantsville; one 
sister, Mrs. Messersmith of Lester, and a number of nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were held at the Winterberg Funeral Home Monday afternoon 
with the Rev. George Bowersox officiating.  Mrs. Harry Bender, Mrs. Harold 
Miller and Mrs. Harry Younkin sang several favorite selections.  The pall 
bearers were Daniel Klotz, Olen Yoder, Herbert Layman and George Diefenbach.  
Interment in the Grantsville Cemetery.
