  ZIMMERMAN
  
  Jacob P. Zimmerman, 93, Stoystown, died Oct. 9, 1987, at Siemon Lakeview 
  Manor Estate.  Born June 16, 1894, in Quemahoning Township, son of Charles 
  and Eliza (Coleman) Zimmerman.  Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the 
  former Miriam Mostoller; son, John P.; three sisters and four brothers.  
  Survived by these children: Frances, widow of Calvin Zufall; C. David, 
  married to former Joan Barnhart; Mrs. Thomas M. (Joy) Zimmerman; Samuel H., 
  married to the former Georgiana Ridell; and Thomas H., married to the former 
  Verdean Meyers, all of Stoystown; Christine, widow of Harold Koontz, 
  Friedens RD 1; Mrs. William (Maxine) Pierce of Juliet, Ill.; Mrs. Richard 
  (Ruth) Pile of Friedens RD 2; also daughter-in-law, Elaine (Smith) Zimmerman 
  of Hooversville RD 1; 28 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.  He was a 
  retired dairy farmer and Forbes High School custodian. Member of St. Paul's 
  United Church of Christ, Stoystown. Junior OUAM Forbes Area Senior Citizens 
  and honorary member of Stoystown Hunting Camp. He was a former director of 
  Stoystown Water Company.  Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 2-4 
  and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing at St. Paul's 
  United Church of Christ from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. on Monday 
  with the Rev. Karyl J. Leslie assisted by his grandsons, the Revs. Gregory 
  R. Pile and John A. Zimmerman.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. 
  Memorial may be given to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or 
  the American Cancer Society.
