JEFFERSON MOSTELLER PASSED AWAY AT BERWICK FRIDAY. Mrs. Jefferson Mosteller who resided on West Center Street, Danville, until a week ago, died Saturday at Berwick of paralysis. She was born 42 years ago at Northumberland and was the daughter of Henry and Ella Shultz. Her marriage to Mr. Mosteller was solemnized 27 years ago on the 17th of last April. Six children survive, Joe, Willys, Charles, John, Tracy, and Mary at home. Four sisters and two brothers also survive, Mrs. Peterman, Sullivan County; Mrs. Maggie Nevis, of Danville; Mrs. Faust, in the West, and Mary Shultz, who was making her home with Mrs. Mosteller. The body was taken to Sullivan County where interment will be made today. Additional Comments: Mrs. Jefferson Mosteller, was the former Catherine Elizabeth Erlston. She was the daughter of Henry and Henrietta Erlston of Northumberland, Pennsylvania. Henry Erlston died 9 September 1882 in Northumberland. He was 35 years old at the time of his death and was buried in the Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland, Pennsylvania. Catherine's mother Henrietta, remarried after Henry's death. Catherine's last husband was a Mutchler. Henrietta died 28 September 1905, in Nordmont, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. Henrietta was 51 at the time of her death. The newspaper article had Catherine's last name as "Mosteller." The family was going by "Masteller." Willis Masteller, was the "Willys" mentioned in the obituary. Catherine's sister Maude Matilda Erlston, was married to Philip Peterman, of Sullivan County Pennsylvania. Both are buried in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Nordmont, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
