Diehl Mr. George W. Diehl, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his country home in West Buffalo Township, near Mifflinburg, on last Thursday morning. Aged 79 years. Death being due to kidney trouble, of which he had been a sufferer for years. Mr. Diehl was an industrious and prosperous farmer, as well as a leading and influential citizen in the community where he resided. Besides his aged wife he is survived by the following children. Harry, of West Buffalo Township; James, of Easton; Charles of Bellevue, Ohio; Miss Minnie, at home; John and Edward of MIfflinburg; and David of Swissvale, Pa. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, at his late home, conducted by Rev. W. M. Rearick, pastor of Mifflinburg Lutheran church. Interment was made in East Side cemetery.
