Liberty Rd West Alexander, PA Lat: 40° 6'27.74"N, Lon: 80°30'31.09"W Donegal Township Directions: Take the West Alexander exit from Interstate Route 70 (about 15 miles west of Washington, PA); follow Old Brick Road for 0.1 mi and continue on Maple Ave for 0.1; turn left on Main Street for 0.1 mi; turn right on North Liberty Street for 0.2 miles, cemetery is on right. The precise date of the organization of the United Presbyterian Cemetery of West Alexander is not definitely known. The earliest Presbytery records state that in the year 1793, "a supply of preaching was granted to the Associate Reformed Church of Three Ridges," the name by which it was known at that time. But from other records it may safely be considered as having had an existence some years prior to that date. The notes of the DAR said the condition of the cemetery was “deplorable. It was overgrown with briers and elder bushes, only one half the cemetery was reachable at all.” Their earliest grave was shown as June 21, 1807.
