Latrobe Bulletin Tue May 31 1949
Mrs. Catherine Helen Pelar, of Trauger, died at her home at 3:20 a. m. Tuesday.
Seventy years of age, she was a member of the St. Florian Catholic Church of
United and the Rosary Society. Surviving are her husband, Peter Pelar, Sr., and
the following children: Michael Pelar, of Trauger; Peter Pelar. Jr., of United;
Mrs. Susan Chismer, of Trauger; Mrs. Catherine Puskar, of Renton; George Pelar,
of Renton; Joseph Peter, at home; John Pelar, of Greensburg; Andrew Pelar, of
Youngwood; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs.
Michael Novak, of Mammoth.
Friends will be received at her late home at Trauger. Funeral services will be
held Friday at the St. Florian's Catholic Church at United with mass at 9 am,
Rev. Joseph Kovalik will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's
Greek Catholic Cemetery. at Trauger.
