Aldren A. Taylor, 77, of 330 Bunger St., Ligonier, died Tuesday evening in
McGinnis Hospital, Ligonier. He was born Sept. 17, 1901, in Arona, a son of the
late William H. and Sarah Doyle Taylor. He was a member of Calvary United
Methodist Church, Ligonier. He was retired from the Consolidated Coal Co. and
the Rolling Rock Club. He is survived by his widow, Grace Shupe Taylor; one son,
Jack of Ligonier; three grandsons, and one brother, Bryan of Dover, Ohio. The
family will receive friends in Snyder Funeral Home, Bell and East Church Street,
Ligonier, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held in the
chapel of the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. James P. Fogg, Jr.
officiating. Interment will follow in Madison Union Cemetery. Family requests
contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
