Wills: Samuel Henderson, 1828, Fairfield Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA - Will Book 2, Page #206 In the Name of God Amen I Samuel Henderson of Fairfield Township Westmoreland County and State of Pennsylvania Yeoman, being weak in Body but of Sound Mind memory and Understanding Praise be to God for the Same, and considering the certainty of Death and uncertainty of time there for to the end I may be Better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence; I make and declare this my last Will and testament in Manner of form following. That is to say first and principally and first of all I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator, hoping for free Pardon and remission of all my Sins and to enjoy everlasting happiness in the Hevenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my Saviour. I Commit my Body to the Earth to be Buried in a decent and christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after Named; And first I will that my Just Debts and funeral Expences be paid, and all charges to making the same proving of or otherways conserning this my last Will and testament Shall in the first place be paid and Satisfied out of my Personal estate and effects and from and after payment and Subject thereto. Then my will is that my Son Charles Henderson is to have and Enjoy the place where I now live, and his heirs forever after him, and also one plow. And to my Daughter Polly her beding and all close belonging thereto, one Bureau, two Ews and two Lambs one Cow and all the wool belonging to my Sheep, one pot and two servers, and one Young Mare Now two Years old one Spinning wheel and one hackle, and my Books that I have I leave to my three children Namely Mary Thomas and Betsey, Now Betsey Snyder to divide them equeally among themselves as they may think proper after my death. And after my Debts and funeral Expences are paid the remainder I will to be equeally divided Share and Share alike among my beloved Children Namely as follows my son James Henderson, Samuel Henderon, Margaret Do now Margaret Duncan, Jane Henderson now Jane McCurdy, William Henderson, Thomas Henderson, Elizabeth Henderson now Elizabeth Snyder, and that as soon as possible after praisement and sale, and when the Vendue money is collected, and I leave what apples grows on three rows of my orchard to my Son Thomas untill his orchard grows to have fruit on them, and the three rows next his plantation.
