D. 2, Monday morning, after a six days illness of pneumonia. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maggie Stough Altland: five children, Almena and Mildred, at home: Mrs. George Wehler, of Thomasville R. D. 2; Clarence Altland, Thomasville R. D. 1, and Harry Altland, Dover R. D. 2, and the following sisters: Mrs. Daniel Sowers, Thomasville R. D. 1: Mrs. Henry Hershey, of Spring Grove: Mrs. John Cromer, of Harrisburg, and Mrs. Samuel Straley, of Farmers. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning from the late residence. Concluding services were held in Holtzschwam Union church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. G. W. Enders, Jr., D.D., officiated. News Comet – Friday, November 13, 1936
