Kimmel, a former resident of the Barrens Valley, died at the home of her son, Mr. C. C. Kimmel at Carlisle, at noon, Thursday, aged 72 years, 10 months and 5 days. Her husband preceded her to the grave almost eleven years ago. Mrs. Kimmel was a member of the United Brethren Church at Franklintown. She is survived by a son, C. C. Kimmel, of Carlisle, and a daughter, Mrs. Geo. J. Knaub, residing near Wellsville; also by a brother, George Detter and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Deardorff and Mrs. Katherine Kinter. The funeral was held Saturday, with brief services at Carlisle, with further services and interment at the Barrens Saturday afternoon. Rev. C. P. Kehl conducted the services.
