As the result of injuries received Wednesday noon, when he fell from a barn roof on the property of Jacob Hoffman, of near Hametown, York county, Benjamin A. Stermer, aged 65 years, died Thursday morning at the West Side Sanitarium, in York. Internal injuries and fractures of both hips, sustained in the fall, were directly responsible for his death. The injured man was taken to the sanitarium Wednesday evening at 6 o'clock in a serious condition. Because the extent of the internal injuries could not be determined he was placed under observation. His condition became critical early in the morning and death soon ensued. He is survived by his wife and the following children: R. F. Stermer, Glen Rock; Mrs. George Peterman, Freelands, Maryland; Mrs. Harry Fishel, W. A. Stermer and Roy Stermer, all of Glen Rock; Miss Naomi Stenmer, at home; Raymond Stermer, Waverly, New York, and Allen Stermer, near Hametown. . One brother, John Stermer, living in New Jersey, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hildebrand, Littlestown, and Mrs. John Stark, of Hametown, also survive Funeral Monday morning at ten o'clock.
