All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/york/ _______________________________________________ Hummel-Elicker As a culmination of a romance which began in the Dillsburg schools where both persons concerned taught during the last two terms, Miss Bertha Alice Elicker, the former teacher of the grammar school, and Prof. E. A. Hummel, of Kratzerville, the former principal of the Dillsburg schools, were quietly married on Thursday, June 5th, by the Rev. H. T. Bowersox, pastor of the Rossville Lutheran charge. Mrs. Hummel is the only daughter of Charles Elicker, the funeral director, of Rossville. She is a graduate of the Shippensburg state normal school and is an accomplished musician. In connection with her other work she instructed in music in the grades of the Dillsburg school. Prof. Hummel is a graduate of the Bucknell university, at Lewisburg, of the class of 1906. Previous to coming to Dillsburg, he was head of the Mifflintown schools. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, June 14 1913
